The president of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), Julissa Mantilla Falcón, stated that attacking and questioning the work of a journalist violates their rights and the right of society to be informed.
Mantilla Falcón spoke with Carmen Aristegui after there have been several murders of journalists in Mexico so far this year, and at the same time that the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, has publicly pointed out and questioned communicators since his conference daily.
