Lebanon called on the United Nations to pressure the Israeli occupation entity to curb its hostile practices and violations of Lebanese sovereignty by land, sea and air, especially the use of Lebanese airspace to attack Syrian territory.
The Lebanese National Agency quoted the Lebanese Army Command as saying in a statement after an extraordinary tripartite meeting in Ras Naqoura, headed by the Commander of the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon and the head of the mission, and in the presence of a delegation of Lebanese army officers, that the Lebanese side stressed the necessity of the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from all Lebanese territories.
The Lebanese side also condemned the repeated Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which occur daily, blaming the Israeli enemy for the consequences, calling on the United Nations to exert pressure on the Israeli enemy in order to curb its hostile practices, especially the use of Lebanese airspace to target Syrian territory and its continued violations of Lebanese sovereignty by land, sea and air. He affirmed Lebanon's commitment to international resolutions, especially Resolution 1701 and its inclusions.
At dawn last Wednesday, the Israeli enemy carried out a double air aggression with rockets from the direction southeast of Beirut and with surface-to-ground missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus, which resulted in the death of a soldier and the injury of five others.
