In Turkey, it was reported this morning (Friday) that the Iranian intelligence service planned to assassinate Israeli businessman Yair Geller in retaliation for the assassination of Muhsan Fahrizda, the architect of the Iranian nuclear program, which was attributed to Israel.
State media reported that state intelligence services thwarted the assassination attempt.
According to the suspicion, the assassination attempt was intended to harm the warming relations between Israel and Turkey.

According to reports in the country, Iranian intelligence has been following Geller's private business and private life in Istanbul.
However, the Turkish field agents responsible for the counter-espionage operations watched the Iranian assassination cell step by step with passive surveillance methods.
Following the follow-up, it was determined that Iran plans to gather information about Geller's place of residence and then carry out the assassination through some Turkish citizens so as not to attract attention and get caught.
According to information provided by Turkish intelligence, the Iranian staff's intelligence pursuit of Geller has ended - and the second phase of preparations for the assassination has begun.
At this point the National Intelligence Agency decided to share the institution with details.
During a high-level secret meeting of the two intelligence agencies in Ankara, it was estimated that the assassination was indeed planned to undermine relations between the two countries.
Following the findings, Geller was taken to a hiding place, known in intelligence terms as a "safe house."
With the approval of the Turkish intelligence agency, Mossad agents actively defended Geller.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Foreign Ministry invited Geller to live in Tel Aviv in accordance with security protocols.
However, Geller, who also holds Turkish citizenship, did not respond to the invitation, noting that he loves Istanbul.
