Schlager star Roland Kaiser makes talk show guests cry

It got very emotional on the NDR talk show: the words of Schlager star Roland Kaiser caused a guest to burst into tears.

Hamburg – As almost every week, the moderation duo Barbara Schöneberger and Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt welcomed numerous prominent guests to the NDR talk show * in Hamburg on Friday, February 4th.

However, one caused an emotional moment, even though he was not present at all: it was pop star Roland Kaiser, who had suffered from a serious lung disease in the past.

Because when he told one of the guests something, tears suddenly broke out.

This time, Axel Prahl was among the celebrity guests.

The actor, who was awarded the Grimme Prize, is known to a wide audience above all for his role as chief inspector "Thiel" in the ARD crime scene in Münster.

During the chat with Schöneberger, however, the 61-year-old suddenly burst into tears – precisely because of Roland Kaiser.

Because the two men who recently stood together in front of the camera for the ARD film "Eisland" are private friends.

When the talk guest talked to the moderator about working with the hit star, this boast surprised them with a touching video message in the middle of the talk show.

"Dear Axel, when you meet someone for the first time, it usually takes a long time before you find out whether a friendship could develop from it," Kaiser began his personal message to his fellow colleagues.

“It was different for us, at least from my side.

I felt: This will definitely be something positive, good.” Because the two already combine several joint projects.

"Regardless of whether we were filming for the crime scene, our first music recording together or for 'Eisland'," Kaiser continues, "we both always worked wonderfully together and harmonized."

Finally, as an expression of his deep connection, he sent a "All the best, your friend Roland".

Prahl then reacted visibly moved and had to wave his eyes dry from tears after this successful surprise.

"Very cute, I think that's really cute," he just managed to say.

As he managed to move his friend to tears with these words at that moment, the musician keeps touching the hearts of his fans with his songs.

Roland Kaiser is therefore an integral part of the German-speaking Schlager* scene.

The 69-year-old made his breakthrough with the hit "Santa Maria" in 1980 and has since earned the title of Schlager legend.

It was not a matter of course that he would one day celebrate this great success, after all, Kaiser had a poor childhood*.
