At the end of a very intense three-day trial, Kalizatou S., 32, was found guilty of the murder of her companion by a stab wound near the neck following yet another night-time argument fueled by the alcohol and drugs that ended in the early morning.

The verdict "

", reacted to AFP the lawyer for the accused Me Anne-Chantal Crespy.

Me Christian Gallon, lawyer for the couple's two young children, welcomed a "

fair

" decision to AFP when he had called during his pleading Thursday, February 10, for "

justice that preserves the balance and the future children

”.

When help arrived, she tried to save him.

The 12-year prison sentence, accompanied by socio-judicial follow-up, is less than the 14 years required by the Advocate General.

"

We are not in the case of violence of a man on his partner

", declared Amarine Ghekiere.

She suffered beatings.

She also gave some

, ”insisted the magistrate.

The young woman claimed to have wanted to “

push back

” the victim.

"

I had a lot of alcohol in my blood

" but "

killing him was not my intention

", she maintained during her interrogation Thursday morning.

When help arrived, she applied, in vain, a point of pressure on the wound of her companion.

"

You are judging a woman who stabbed her and who immediately afterwards tries to save

"the victim, underlined during his argument the defense of the accused Me Crespy, describing a couple "

who did not love each other properly

".

Victim Anthony B., 35, had four children, two of whom were from a first bed.

The argument on the evening of the tragedy concerned the return of one of them to the couple's home, after having been removed by social services to protect him from the violence of the spouses.

Kalizatou S. comes from a “

traditional

” family of Malian origin, third in a family of 15 children;

Anthony B. comes from a family of travellers.

They were in a civil partnership and had married religiously after the spouse's conversion to Islam at the end of 2016.
