London police have sent British Prime Minister Boris Johnson a question form to answer as part of an investigation into parties organized in Downing Street during the country's COVID-19 lockdown.
"We can confirm that the Prime Minister has received a question form from the London Police and will respond to it as appropriate," a police spokesman said in a statement yesterday.
The police statement came hours after the media published a new photo showing Johnson participating in one of these parties with two other people.
Investigators in this case announced the day before yesterday that they would contact more than 50 people to obtain their statements about this scandal that threatens Johnson's political future.
Former British Prime Minister John Major launched a violent attack on Johnson, accusing him of violating the rules of Corona, promoting the public's contempt for politics and tarnishing the reputation of the United Kingdom abroad.
This sharp and unusual attack highlighted the danger that threatens Johnson's future because of the Party Gate scandal, especially as many of the ruling Conservative Party's MPs have previously called for him to resign.
