For the second day, more than 200,000 Corona injuries in Russia

For the second consecutive day, Russia witnessed a record increase in the number of new infections with the Corona virus, exceeding 200,000.

And the Operations Room to combat the coronavirus outbreak in Russia announced in its daily report that it had detected 203,766 new infections during the past 24 hours, indicating that the largest number of these infections was recorded in the country's second largest city, Saint Petersburg, with 21,689, followed by the capital, Moscow, with 14,336 cases.

The death toll from Corona in Russia increased during the last 24 hours, by 729 deaths, while 112,658 patients recovered.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has recorded a total of 13,935,560 confirmed cases, including 339,542 deaths and 11,134,291 cases of recovery.

And the significant increase in the index of new infections with corona in Russia during the recent period is linked to the outbreak of the highly contagious Omicron mutant.
