Bitten by a snake while walking with the dog - and survived (Wolfson Hospital spokeswoman)
Nikolai Romanov, a resident of Rishon Lezion who was bitten by a viper snake, recovered today (Sunday) from the beating - and told about the moments of horror.
"I arrived in a very difficult condition with a swollen leg and received quick treatment," said the 49-year-old, who was bitten yesterday in an open area near the Superland when he was walking with his dog and was treated at Wolfson Hospital in Holon.

Romanov was stabbed yesterday and seriously injured.
MDA staff who arrived at the scene gave him treatment and evacuated him to the hospital. "The man was sitting in his car while he was conscious, sweating and pale," said MDA paramedic Tal Putterman.
"We were told that he was bitten in an open area in Rishon Lezion and drove himself to Bat Yam. We immediately started medical tests and identified signs of a hit on the leg. We quickly transferred him to an intensive care unit and evacuated him to the hospital when his condition was serious."
