This could have ended badly.

Fortunately, only two people were slightly injured in this accident on Erdinger Allee at Munich Airport.

Airport

– A 41-year-old woman from Dorfen steered her Renault into oncoming traffic on Friday around 5:20 p.m. on Erdinger Allee at Munich Airport for reasons that have not yet been clarified.

According to the airport police, the woman was driving with her partner and their two children aged four and six in the direction of district road ED 5 when her car swerved to the left in a curve.

A 28-year-old Erdinger at the wheel of the oncoming VW Multivan was no longer able to prevent the collision, and the vehicles collided head-on.

As a result of the collision, the Renault also threw itself into the left side of the BMW of a 54-year-old doctor from Munich, who was also oncoming.

"Miraculously," according to the airport police, the head-on collision did not result in serious injuries to those involved.

Only Dorfenerin and Erdinger were slightly injured by the rescue service and taken to a nearby hospital.

Two patrols from Munich Airport Police were deployed to record the accident.

To do this, Erdinger Allee had to be completely closed for more than 90 minutes and illuminated by the airport fire brigade.

After the three vehicles involved were no longer roadworthy, they were recovered by a towing company.

The two children did not have to freeze during this long time either, since they were allowed to sit in the police car.

The property damage adds up to around 25,000 euros.
