Gaißach: drunk driving ends in Steinbach

A 45-year-old man who was drunk in Gaißach in the early hours of Saturday morning was very lucky.
The trip ended in the Steinbach.
Gaißach -
A Lenggrieser caused an accident in Gaißach on Saturday.
According to the police, the 45-year-old drove his VW Transporter around 5:44 a.m. on the district road in Gaißach in the direction of Lenggries.
Shortly before the Steinbach bridge, he left the roadway and drove across a meadow directly towards the Steinbach.
There the transporter took off from the dam in front of the Steinbach and crashed into the opposite bank.

Finally, the van came to rest on the roof in the water.
A local resident heard the accident and called 911.
The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was rescued from the Steinbach by rescue workers.
He came to the hospital in Tölz with hypothermia to clarify the injuries.
There blood was taken from him for further examination because of his heavy alcohol consumption.
Den Lenggrieser is now awaiting criminal proceedings.
