Ukraine conflict: Kiev mayor with gloomy prognosis - "We are only the beginning"

A day before Chancellor Olaf Scholz's visit to Ukraine on Monday (February 14), he called on the heads of state to make it clear to Putin that the country would not surrender without a fight: "If Olaf Scholz and other heads of state talk to Vladimir Putin now, you should make one thing clear to him: our entire country will defend itself against an attack and it will have serious consequences.” On Tuesday, Scholz will travel to Moscow to see Russian President Vladimir Putin.

But words were not enough: "If a war breaks out in Ukraine, one of the largest countries in Europe, it will destabilize the whole of Europe," Klitschko warned.

He asked the country's partners to position themselves clearly.

“Putin is striving for world power and the West should know that after Ukraine it will be the Baltic states.

We're just the beginning!” predicted Klitschko.
