An accident involving four vehicles occurred on the B 472 near Peißenberg on Saturday morning.

Seven people were injured, the one who caused the accident seriously.

He was admitted to the Murnau accident clinic.

A 5-month-old baby was among the slightly injured.

Peißenberg – A serious traffic accident occurred on Saturday morning around 10.20 a.m. on the B 472 near Peißenberg.

According to the police report, four vehicles were involved in the accident.

The person who caused the accident, a 25-year-old man from Rottenbuch, was driving on the B 472 in the direction of Weilheim and, for reasons that have not yet been clarified, came to the left onto the oncoming lane and then collided there with an oncoming car belonging to a 32-year-old from Munich.

In the course of the accident, the person who caused the accident threw himself against the next car of a 62-year-old woman from Sonthofen, who was driving behind the Munich car, and then into the crash barrier on the left in his original direction of travel.

A 44-year-old woman from Raisting, who was driving behind the woman from Sonthofen, initiated emergency braking and was thus able to prevent another collision with the person who caused the accident.

Two hours full lockdown

The man from Munich was slightly injured, his wife (29 years) and their two children (5 months and 3.5 years) were all slightly injured and taken to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen hospital.

The drivers from Sonthofen and Raisting (injured due to the emergency braking) suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Weilheim hospital.

Three other car occupants escaped unscathed.

Due to the accident recording and the approximately 200 meter long debris field, the B472 was completely closed for two hours.

There were seven ambulances, three emergency doctors, a rescue helicopter and forces from the Peißenberg fire brigade, the road maintenance department and the Peißenberg building yard on site.

The total damage was estimated at around 11,000 euros.
