An indictment was filed today (Monday) in the Lod District Court against Ernest Zakharov following his involvement in the shooting incident that took place last January in the city of Netanya, in which his brother, Ilan Zacharov, was killed and Bnei Tukhtayev was injured.
Zakharov is charged with carrying and transporting weapons, obstruction of justice and dismissal during an investigation.
According to the indictment, Ilan Zakharov was in a conflict with Bnei Tukhtayev and against this background he decided to bring about his death.
Following this, Ilan and his brother Ernest drove the vehicle in which they were holding a gun and a cartridge loaded with bullets.
When Tochteib left his family home, the late Ilan got out of the vehicle while carrying the gun, approached Tochteib and fired several shots at his upper body at close range. Times in his head.
Ernest Zacharov waited nearby inside the vehicle, until his brother Ilan arrived, then evacuated him to the hospital.
At the same time, Tochteib was evacuated using an MDA vehicle. As a result of the incident, Tochteib was shot and wounded and was hospitalized. Ilan Zakharov died a few days after the incident as a result of the injuries he sustained.
In addition, before Ilan's death and while he was hospitalized with his family, his brother Ernest sent a message to the late Ilan's partner, in which he ordered her to destroy the SIM card in her cell phone, in order to thwart the investigation of the incident. Ilan's partner and his father were summoned for a police investigation, defendant Ernest instructed them to say they knew nothing about the circumstances of the incident.
