The areas planted with wheat in the liberated countryside of Raqqa reached 16,500 hectares, while 850 hectares were planted with irrigated barley.
The Director of Raqqa Agriculture, Engineer Muhammad al-Khadli, said in a statement to SANA reporter that 16,500 hectares of wheat were planted from the entire plan amounting to 20,937 hectares in the safe areas in the countryside of the province, while 850 hectares were planted with irrigated barley from the entire plan of 2027 hectares, in addition to the cultivation of about 2500 hectares of pastoral crops. and 579 hectares of legumes and 85 hectares of winter vegetables.
The Director of Agriculture pointed out that part of the plan was not implemented in the Al-Rusafa area and the Mansoura Badia, pending the full preparation of the wells, noting that 1,728 tons of wheat seed, 1,267 tons of nitrogen fertilizer and 817 tons of phosphate fertilizer were distributed to farmers.
