The role of youth and drama in resisting cultural invasion formed the focus of the symposium held by the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh, with the participation of a group of researchers and specialists.
Director Mohamed Nasrallah explained during the symposium the great role of drama in general and Syrian drama in particular in the face of cultural invasion, pointing to the messages that are between the lines in foreign drama directed at us and the need to pay attention to the negative messages it contains aimed at perpetuating imperialism represented in global Zionism.
Nasrallah pointed to the need for awareness in choosing what our children receive through screens, in addition to concerted efforts and creating a national and patriotic Syrian drama that achieves the goal of luxury and pleasure, as well as benefit and the delivery of national messages within it.
In turn, Engineer Majd Imad, director of the “Watan for Development and Development” group, drew attention to the role of youth in facing the cultural invasion, especially in light of the tyranny of social media on contemporary life, because they are the most dealt with these means, pointing out that the “Watan” group works with all its activities to educate young people and direct their interests. To serve their community and its issues.
The media person, Muhammad Khaled Al-Khidr, who moderated the symposium, noted the importance of youth solidarity and awareness to realize what the media and counter-drama carry, so that the door for dialogue will be opened and the various interventions of the participants are answered.
