A terrible incident occurred at the Gare du Nord in Paris: a man was shot dead by the police after threatening them with a knife.
Paris - Two police officers shot dead a man armed with a knife in the Gare du Nord train station in Paris.
According to the police, the man threatened the officers on Monday morning with a knife about 30 centimeters long.
The blade read "ACAB" which means "All Cops are Bastards".
However, the French police have ruled out a terrorist background.

France's interior minister, Gérald Darmanin, said the police had "used their weapons and thus averted any danger to themselves and the travelers".
Transport Secretary Jean-Baptiste Djebbari told radio station RMC that the attacker was apparently known to the police "because he often hung around the station".
The public prosecutor's office is investigating attempted manslaughter, but the anti-terrorist public prosecutor's office said it was not involved in the investigation.
The Gare du Nord is a major transport hub in the French capital and the busiest train station in the country.
