Strasbourg: a decree prohibits anti-pass convoys near the European Parliament

"My first concern is to protect the session of Parliament which must take place in good conditions until Thursday evening" declared the prefect of Bas-Rhin Josiane Chevalier.


The prefect of Bas-Rhin Josiane Chevalier issued a decree on Monday February 14 prohibiting any “

undeclared demonstration

” of anti-vaccine pass convoys near the European Parliament, meeting in plenary session in Strasbourg, announced the prefecture in a press release.

Several road convoys seem to have formed to reach Strasbourg

" on Monday with the "

stated objective (...) to join the European institutions

After converging on Paris on Saturday, part of the convoys of opponents of health restrictions, known

Hindering or obstructing a road open to public traffic is punishable by two years' imprisonment, a fine of 4,500 euros, the immobilization and the impoundment of the vehicle used

a suspension of the driving license for a period of three years at most ".
