The Saudi regime aircraft destroyed the building of the Yemeni Company for International Communications north of the capital, Sanaa, less than 3 weeks after the internet and international communications were cut off after the aggression aircraft targeted the communications office in Hodeidah.
Al Masirah Net website reported that the aggression’s warplanes targeted with two raids the building of the Yemeni Company for International Communications (Telemen) in the western cliff in the Al-Thawra district, which led to its complete destruction and severe damage to the building adjacent to the targeted building.
Later, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology held a press conference on the ruins of the targeted building, announcing the interruption of international communications service to Yemen as a result of the bombing, while TeleYemen categorically denied the aggression’s allegations about using the company’s website for military purposes.
In a speech during the conference, Minister of Communications Misfir Al-Numeir indicated that the aggression is part of a series of systematic targeting of communications and internet services in Yemen, calling for the neutralization of communications and its various services, whose targeting constitutes a "war crime."
In turn, TeleYemen confirmed in a statement that the building targeted by the Saudi aggression does not contain only technical and basic equipment to provide international telecommunications services and the Internet, noting that many vital services and sectors in all Yemeni regions have been affected and citizens are deprived of one of their basic rights.
On the 25th of last month, the Saudi regime aircraft destroyed communication towers in the Al-Kumaim area in Al-Hada district, northeast of Dhamar Governorate.
