The United States of America announced the temporary transfer of its embassy operations in Ukraine from the capital, Kiev, to the western city of Lviv, against the backdrop of the developments in the crisis situation in Ukraine.
And Reuters news agency quoted US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken as saying today in a statement that “the decision to transfer was taken out of concern for the safety of embassy staff,” noting that there is an ongoing review of the security situation in Ukraine to determine when the US government dictates a change in the situation.
He added that Washington would continue to work for a "diplomatic solution" to the tensions as most embassy staff had already been ordered to leave Ukraine and advised US citizens to leave the country over allegations that Moscow might launch an attack on Ukraine.
And many countries have recommended their nationals to avoid traveling to or leave Ukraine because of the allegations circulated by the West about the possibility of a Russian attack on it.
