The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Aleppo arrested 22 drug dealers and drug users and confiscated large quantities of narcotics, weapons and cars from their possession.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement, which SANA received a copy of today, that through monitoring and follow-up, the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Aleppo arrested a group of 22 drug dealers, drug users and thieves in possession of quantities of drugs, narcotic pills, some weapons and counterfeit money.
The statement indicated that 3 and a half kilograms of hashish and 7,000 narcotic pills of different types were confiscated, and 5 cars used by those arrested in their crimes were confiscated, in addition to the confiscation of tools for removing and breaking, 3 license plates for unknown cars, some military weapons, 3 bomb belts and forged foreign money.
The statement indicated that by interrogating the arrested, they confessed that they promoted and abused narcotics, robbed shops, promoted forged foreign funds, and terrorized citizens in the city of Aleppo.
The statement pointed out that the necessary measures have been taken against the arrested, and they will be submitted, along with the confiscations, to the duly competent judiciary.
