Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said in an interview with the Bahraini newspaper Al-Ayyam that a US return to the nuclear deal with Iran would be a "strategic mistake."
This is because the agreement will allow Iran to maintain its nuclear capabilities and will allocate hundreds of billions of dollars to the terrorist system it operates in the region.
A news item published this morning (Tuesday) quotes the prime minister in an interview he conducted during his visit to Bahrain.
This is the first official visit of an Israeli prime minister to the kingdom ever.
According to Bennett, Israel is ready to help Bahrain and other countries in the region from a security point of view to deal with the Iranian threat.
"We are facing a common threat. Israel is a strong country that can be trusted. Why should we not work together?", Bennett said.
"Iran supports terrorist organizations that operate in our area and in your area. We are fighting Iran and its arms day and night and we will help our friends do that to maintain security in the area."

Bennett said he wanted to strengthen economic cooperation with Bahrain and significantly increase trade between the two countries.
The Prime Minister stressed that he wants peace between the countries to be "very warm peace".
Bennett's visit to the kingdom comes after Defense Minister Bnei Gantz's visit to Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain, two weeks ago, and the signing of a security cooperation agreement.
In addition, Foreign Minister Lapid visited Bahrain a few months ago and inaugurated the Israeli embassy in the country.
