Bennett meets with the Jewish community in Bahrain: "You will be the bridge between the countries" | Israel today

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met today (Tuesday) with the heads of the Jewish community in Bahrain, as part of his political visit, and gave them a shofar for the synagogue.

The meeting was attended by the Israeli Ambassador to Bahrain, Eitan Na'a, the President of the Jewish Community, Avraham (Abe) Nono, a member of the Jewish Community Board of Directors and former Ambassador of Bahrain to the United States, Huda Nono and other senior officials.

The Prime Minister thanked the members of the Jewish community for the warm welcome.

In addition, Bennett noted that the Jewish community in Bahrain is a key pillar in the implementation of the peace agreements between the two countries.

He also said that the Jewish community is highly regarded by the Bahraini leadership, serving as a model for cooperation between Jews and Muslims in the Middle East in general, and in Bahrain in particular.

Prime Minister Bennett said at the meeting: “I am very happy to be here in Bahrain.

I could not think of a better way to open the visit than to see my family here, the Jewish community.

I came from Israel with good will and warm friendship between the two peoples, and I am sure you will be an exceptional bridge between Bahrain and Israel.

I look forward to a successful day in which we will strengthen the agreements of Abraham and the relations between the nations. "

The Prime Minister welcomed the cooperation between the IDF and the US Army, which contributes to the security of the two countries.

Bennett added that the U.S. Fifth Fleet is a significant factor in maintaining stability in the region in the face of various security threats, and that he expects the joint work between the region's countries and the strong ally, the United States, to intensify.
