Since the number of new infections in the district is still very high, many communities have reacted: Strict rules currently apply to the meetings.

District

– Local elections were held in Bavaria almost two years ago – new mayors as well as city and municipal councils were elected to office.

However, the official start of her term of office coincided with the corona pandemic - and the following meetings at a difficult time.

In many communities, the committees have been meeting abroad since then - and because of the continuing increase in corona numbers, with stricter measures.

Nandlstadt relies on rapid tests

"The safety of my citizens and local councils is important to me," says Nandlstadt's Mayor Gerhard Betz.

The market council has therefore been meeting in the gym since May 2020 - with a lot of distance and in compliance with the hygiene rules.

“When the corona numbers skyrocketed, we also started everything up.” That means: Corona tests are currently being asked of the visitors to the meeting, which can be carried out in front of the gym.

The municipality has made tests available to the market councils.

You are encouraged to do this at home.

This is based “on a basis of trust”, says Betz.

A return to the town hall “is currently not up for discussion,” emphasizes the head of the town hall.

"That would be grossly negligent and violates the hygiene rules because the distances cannot be maintained."

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.

Mask requirement in Wolfersdorf

In Wolfersdorf, Mayor Anita Wölfle tightened the measures in the most recent meeting: Although there is “enough distance” in the citizens’ hall, the community leader recently ordered a mask requirement.

"Only those who speak may take it off," she reports.

In addition, all participants were asked to do "free and voluntary self-tests", which "was done mostly without problems - although many citizens were boosted.

It worked perfectly," says the mayor.

In the meeting at the end of February, it will be handled in this way again.

Wölfle regrets one thing very much: "Our committee has never seen the meeting room." She hopes that the situation will relax in May, or at the latest in the summer, and that you can then switch to the meeting room.

“3G” in Freising and Moosburg

Since the beginning of the year, Freising's Mayor Tobias Eschenbacher has made the 3G rule mandatory for all meetings of the city council and its committees.

Only those who are fully vaccinated, recovered or tested negative are allowed to attend the sessions.

"3G" also applies in Moosburg, "whereby the third 'G' is not a self-test, but something written, for example from the test center," reports Managing Director Josef Mühlberger.

Registration in the VG Walls required

In the administrative community of Mauern, they rely on “prior written registration”.

If you want to take part in public sessions as a spectator, you have to deposit your complete contact details in the administration.

The available audience places will be allocated in the order in which they are registered.

The 3G rule applies to the meeting itself, and there is also a mask requirement, as was the case at the most recent meeting of the Wanger municipal council.

Allershausen makes an appeal to the visitors

The municipality of Allershausen made a clear appeal to the citizens before the most recent meeting: “Basically, every fellow citizen is free to attend the public municipal council meetings.

However, due to the current high pandemic numbers, we ask that you refrain from attending the meeting.” Anyone who decides to come to the meeting must either be vaccinated, recovered or recently tested.

In addition, FFP2 masks are mandatory in the town hall meeting room, according to the administration.

The Neufahrner committee meets in the sports hall

"In the municipality of Neufahrn, the 3G regulation for participation in municipal council and committee meetings has been consistently and consistently applied for a long time," reports Mayor Franz Heilmeier - both among the municipal councils and the administrative employees and visitors.

The committee still meets in the Käthe-Winkelmann-Halle.

"Due to the generous dimensions of the hall, it is easy to maintain distances between the meeting participants and the visitors," says Heilmeier.

Even more: "In order to ensure good audio, the microphone system was also moved from the meeting room of the town hall to the hall."
