The electronic citizen service centers have completed more than 45,000 transactions since the launch of this service at the end of 2020 so far, according to the Director of the Citizen Service Technology Directorate of the Ministry of Communications and Technology, Eng. Samer Yamani.

In a statement to SANA reporter Ben Yamani, the number of those requesting services online from these centers continues to increase gradually, especially with the increase in the number of transactions they provide, indicating that the number of these centers is 12 centers distributed in Damascus, Lattakia, Tartous, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Quneitra, Deir ez-Zor, Sweida and Daraa.

Yamani noted the importance of the centers in terms of shortening time, effort and transparency in dealing, pointing out that the number of services provided by them reaches 47 services, including transactions related to the Ministries of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, the University of Damascus, real estate interests, the temporary register, the summary of the judicial register, the civil register, and the personnel register, revealing that new services will be added. In cooperation with the rest of the ministries, including traffic clearance and mandatory car insurance.

Yamani explained that the work of the centers is based on requesting transactions electronically through the website of the centers or through the mobile application “My Transaction” at any time, and their fees can be paid electronically without the need to review the official departments, by creating an account that includes the user name and password, so that the citizen can then apply for the services that needs it.

At the Electronic Citizen Service Center in Damascus, its director, Engineer Salam Al-Halabi, indicated that the electronic transaction fees are paid through one of the banks linked to the Syrian Electronic Payments Company’s system, which are 6 banks, or through the “Syriatel” cash service for “Syriatel” subscribers, or from the Cash Mobile service for subscribers of the “Syriatel” company. MTN".

In turn, the employee at the center, Shatha Khaddour, indicated that the required “document” transaction is delivered after its completion through the nearest citizen service center or sent by mail to the detailed address entered during the creation of the document.
