Raid against vaccination card counterfeiters!

The Munich I public prosecutor's office and Commissariat 67 of the Munich police headquarters have carried out a total of 50 searches against fraudsters and their customers in the past few days.

Munich – 44 of the searches were carried out as previously planned, and three additional follow-up searches were ordered in objects that arose in the course of the investigation on both Friday and Tuesday.

With the exception of five decisions by other Bavarian public prosecutor's offices, all decisions by the Munich I public prosecutor's office were requested from the competent investigating judges and issued by them.

On Friday, February 11, 2022, 106 police officers were deployed to execute the search warrants.

On this day, a total of 60 counterfeit vaccination cards and 12 “digital EU Covid certificates” in paper form were seized.

The cell phones of the suspects were inspected on site and if a certificate was found in an app, it was photographed and then deleted.

In other cases, the devices had to be confiscated to preserve evidence.


Munich: Suspect resists the police

In one case, the accused and her partner presented a positive PCR test.

The partner rioted and offered physical resistance to the measures, but no one was injured.

A small amount of narcotics was also found.

In another case, the accused's partner was found.

She stated that her partner was currently staying at his second home in Baden-Württemberg.

After consultation with the Munich I public prosecutor's office, imminent danger was assumed and a follow-up search was ordered.

The accused handed over two fake certificates, the vaccination card was not found.

During a search, nineteen vaccination cards, various batch stickers and a forged stamp from a vaccination center in the Munich district were found.

During the interrogation, the accused stated that she and two other female acquaintances falsified and sold vaccination cards.

After she named the accomplices, two follow-up searches were carried out in consultation with the Munich I public prosecutor.

With one of these accomplices, 21 forged vaccination cards, a stamp from a doctor's practice and a batch label were found and seized.

Raid in Munich: Corona infection after the search

After a search was carried out on one of the suspects, her health was very poor, which is why she carried out a rapid corona test with a positive result.

A subsequent PCR test carried out by the family doctor also showed a positive result.

On the morning of February 12, 2022, the accused informed the police of this fact and asked that the emergency services on site be informed.

Follow-up health protection measures have been taken.

On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, 96 police officers were deployed to execute the search warrants.

18 fake vaccination cards and 5 paper certificates were seized.

The accused's mobile phones were inspected on site and if a certificate was found in an app, it was photographed and then deleted.

In other cases, the devices had to be confiscated to preserve evidence.

A suspect named the seller of the fake vaccination card, which is why a follow-up search was carried out after consultation with the Munich I public prosecutor.

All IT equipment was secured, the accused did not provide any information on the matter.


An accused couple stated that their vaccination certificates would be with a colleague of the husband's.

During the interrogation, there were indications that the work colleague could be a forger or dealer in vaccination certificates.

After consultation with the Munich I public prosecutor's office, a follow-up search was ordered at the work colleague's premises.

There the two forged vaccination certificates of the accused couple were found.

The work colleague did not comment on the allegation.

Fake vaccination cards: the accused wants to provide information - and betray his dealers

In another case, the suspect's forged vaccination card and, in the course of further investigations, the also forged vaccination card of his wife, who was initially unsuspicious, was secured.

The accused stated that he will only speak through his lawyer and, if necessary, provide information about his dealer if a "deal" to his advantage through the public prosecutor's office is possible.

The counterfeit vaccination card was secured from one of the suspects.

His fake vaccination card was also found in a suitcase that belonged to her partner.

A small quantity of amphetamines was also seized.

The investigations and in particular the processing of the extensive secured evidence are ongoing.
