At about 11 am today (15th), the police received a report that a unit in Ya Kwai House, Kwai Chung Village, was on fire and thick smoke was emitted.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and opened their throats to put out the fire. No one was injured and no evacuation was required in the incident. They found the cause of the fire to be suspicious.
After police investigation, a middle-aged man was arrested at the scene suspected of being involved in the case.
According to reports at the scene, the arrested man had symptoms of fever, and was taken away by personnel wearing protective clothing after the incident and sent to the hospital for examination.
Police are investigating the case.
