The areas planted with irrigated wheat after the end of the cultivation operations for the current agricultural season in Homs governorate amounted to 13,876 hectares, an implementation rate of 114 percent, and rainfed wheat 20,769 hectares, an implementation rate of 86 percent.

The director of Homs agriculture, Younis Hamdan, said in a statement to SANA reporter that 549 hectares were planted with irrigated barley, 33,946 hectares with rainfed barley, the area planted with irrigated beans is 592 hectares, 520 hectares of fava beans, irrigated peas are 370 hectares, and irrigated vetch is 132 hectares.

Hamdan pointed to the continuation of cultivation in some winter crops, as the area planted with spring potatoes reached 486 hectares out of the total planned area of ​​1661 hectares, 763 hectares were planted with coriander, 92 hectares with caraway, 105 hectares with fennel, 575 hectares with cumin and 968 hectares with anise.
