A 55-year-old motorcyclist from Peißenberg died in a fatal accident on Monday evening between Oderding and Peißenberg.
He overtook while the line was solid and drove into oncoming traffic.

– Shortly before 6 p.m., the serious accident happened on the state road, at the height of the long right-hand bend near the Untermühle car park.
The 55-year-old motorcyclist, who, according to witness statements, had already attracted attention in advance with some risky driving manoeuvres, swerved despite the solid center line to first overtake a van and then a truck.

According to the current state of investigation, according to the police, the 55-year-old collided head-on with an oncoming station wagon as soon as he passed the van, which then overturned and came to rest on the roof in the ditch on the left.
After the collision, the motorcyclist fell on the right side of the road and was run over by the van that had just been overtaken.
The 55-year-old driver suffered such massive injuries that he died at the scene of the accident despite immediate resuscitation.

Fortunately, the occupants of the overturning vehicle, a 39-year-old from Weilheim and her five-year-old daughter, were only slightly injured, as was the 55-year-old driver of the van.
They were all taken to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
The Peißenberg fire brigade was on site with eight vehicles to provide support.
An expert who was still at the scene of the accident that evening was consulted to determine the course of the accident more precisely.
