Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin — the 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate — has sued The New York Times for libel over an editorial that wrongly linked her to shootings of Republicans.

Palin lost the case, as both the judge and jury found that the policy failed to prove that she acted with malice.
