Brooks explained at Tiktok, where she has about 120,000 followers, that she suspected her family knew about her occupation following the text message she received.

She of course took a screenshot and shared the message that read: "Hey little girl, this is your uncle. I came across your video online today .. very nice. Do you happen to know Riley Reed? And also - do you have an account at OnlyFans? My friend Want to know".

No less than 18.6 million people watched the video and many of her followers were shocked by her uncle's strange reaction.

One wrote to her: "If my uncle had sent me such a message, I would have been very upset."

Another wrote: "Sorry, he's weird. I hope he did not betray you to the rest of the family. If you think he will do it, go ahead and tell them."

In contrast, there were hateful reactions towards Carly like one man who wrote to her "now I know that self-respect runs through the family", to which Carly responded: "The funny thing is that most of those who wrote me hateful comments - probably checked my page."

And attached to her response a screenshot of a post stating that her page had been viewed over a million times.

Another man wrote to her: "You chose this life, so it was sure to happen sooner or later."

Carly responded by saying, "

Why are men so angry at the industry when you are the ones who created it?

Do you actually watch it every night - and yet you're mad at the people who make it?

But there seemed to be no need to worry about the family reaction.

According to a post she later published, it turned out that Carly's parents supported her - as evidenced by the texts she received from her Mormon mother.

In the chain of messages, Carly's mother addresses her daughter by her stage name and tells her that Carly's aunt found some of the content that came up on Carly's OnlyFans page (apparently) on her aunt's phone.

In the screenshot shared by Carly, her mom agrees that the uncle "is totally creepy" and added "not for the sake of scaring you or anything, but to know it was not the only thing she (the aunt) found on his phone ... it's getting worse".

Carly's mother also as her own daughter whose father plans to issue a restraining order to David.

Text messages end with "We love you and are proud of you."
