The Woman Who Tasted Everything: Rita Goldstein Comes to the "Big Mouth" Section | Israel today

2022-02-15T07:01:01.956Z

The (still) new section hosts the food journalist and TV presenter, who really does not intend to apologize for her love of sweets, but there is also some issue with canned palm hearts.

You follow them and follow them on social media non-stop, spend time at their shows, buy their fashion collections, imitate and prepare recipes they have created, or, quite rightly, just enjoy satisfying their voyeuristic instincts with their intriguing and colorful lifestyle.

But what about the food?

To previous articles:

"Big mouth" with golden wave

"Big mouth" with goat furrow

"Big mouth with elite Ofek

It is precisely on this slot that the "Big Mouth" section enters, the section that asks bloggers and celebrities all the easy and heavy questions about their culinary habits.

What they will not eat in life, where they will be willing to eat all their lives and what vegetable in life will not enter their home.

The guest this time, as you have probably already seen, is Rita Goldstein.

The woman who tasted (almost) everything.

If you think that because she talks and writes so much about food nothing about her and her culinary habits will not knock you off the chair, you will probably be surprised.

Do not believe me?

Read.

Let's start with the basics, what do you like to eat the most?

I really like everything, it's a little funny to say.

I have a warm corner for a corner in the heart for vegetables and fruits but another warm corner for junk too

that's it!

That's just all, at home we like to eat Asian and Italian.

What will you not eat in life?

I love to taste everything and I got to taste really delusional things.

From the most smelly fruit in the world to ants, flour and grasshopper cookies.

But I hate a guard.

What would you be willing to eat every day until the end of your days?

Finely chopped vegetable salad, full of olive oil and lemon

Something you died to try and did not try

any new and interesting fruit that I did not try, terribly disappoints me that there is not everything here in the country, I must try as much fruit as possible.

Your favorite kitchen?

Italian, Japanese and also what has been defined here in recent years as Mediterranean.

Contrary to the legality of the Japanese and Italians, with us, because we are young, there are no laws and there is a lot of influence here from all over the world, always interesting and surprising here.

Your five favorite restaurants?

For the past two years I have been very fond of eating outside of Tel Aviv, quite since I left it.

I really like the culinary scene in Haifa, especially the beer spring and Neopolitan pizza.

Bistro Michael, one of the most interesting restaurants there is today.

Nomi in the Hefer Valley also, making a smart and stunning kitchen.

And indeed Tel Aviv, but in Tashon.

Delicious, inexpensive, a fun place to return to.

A chef who adores and why?

I really like smart and knowledgeable people, always when I meet Haim Cohen and Yuval Ben Neria I come out educated.

They do things out of thought.

Yuval is a meticulous man like no other, one of the smartest and most talented people I have ever met.

Haim Cohen, his hand in everything in Israeli cuisine.

There are also Anna Shapiro and Michal Botton (Fellow Bakery) who do corps with their amazing business, there are not many women who are both the active side and the managerial side.

They are commendable because they left something much easier and simpler in favor of war on their way.

What do you eat at Friday dinner?

My partner's family is vegan, so it's always a vegan meal every time from a different niche, for my family it's always fish in every possible variation.

There are always potatoes there too.

If it's just the two of us, everything's open.

Each time we want something different, a project to take on, sometimes in a bit of an obsession.

But there will always be wine.

Junk food or restaurants?

In recent years I have much more preferred "raid" restaurants over those of sitting for two and a half hours.

I have no patience for that.

It's not necessarily defined as "junk," but there is a lot of nonsense in our role.

Snacks, ice creams, fries, etc.

Pizza or hamburger?

I think it's really a dish from scratch

Your Guilty Pleasure

I really like everything to do with sweets.

I really like ice creams, pastries, desserts with creams, really, all sweet I love.

Do not think it's Guilty Pleasure and certainly do not apologize for it.

Every day I eat some dessert, but try to make it as quality as possible at least.

I'm also addicted to sniders, and strangely enough - I'm addicted to canned palm hearts.

I always have at home, always!

Who is your favorite recipe?

Is that you will always look for his recipes first?

If I choose to make something I always take some recipes from a few people and make a mix of it.

One of them will always be a furrow goat because he has a very high level of proficiency, he always explains well and correctly about the chemical process.

The most worthwhile culinary destination you've been to?

Mexico is amazing, people underestimate it.

It is one of the most delicious and versatile places there is in this world, an amazing place.

Mexico City is a bomb city, Guaca is one of the most special places in the world with the best mezzanine you will ever encounter, and the cocoa is amazing.

And Japan is Japan, another league.

And the one you've not been to yet?

Before the corona I was supposed to fly to Singapore and it did not happen in the end, there are influences from lots of countries.

Right now the destination I most want to reach is Hawaii.

What's the thing you've most sorry you ate?

The stinky fruit in the world, as soon as it got into my mouth it was a horrible sulfur aroma.

A presence that stayed with me for some time to come, it was very difficult.

Favorite cafe?

Mea Cafe in Tel Aviv

Alcohol that you will never refuse?

There are too many.

I really like wines, good vermouths

Favorite wine type?

One of the most interesting wine producers in Israel is Yaakov Uriah.

So beautiful names in Hebrew and also the flavors,

Favorite bar?

The monastery.

Unequivocal

Your favorite street food?

I've said pizza in the previous questions, but I really like everything.

Deliveries - yes or no?

Sure, but much less, first of all because there are not many options where I live (Sharon area), and also because it is terribly polluting.

Sucks to order something and know it involves a waste of full plastic.

Ready to line up for food?

Always abroad, there is the feeling that if you do not stand in line now you will probably not get to eat it at all. In Japan say, every good thing has a line, there is always a line for everything good. In Israel I always have the feeling that if I come in Other and at a more convenient time then I will not have to stand.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
