A ridge of high pressure in southeastern China is bringing an easterly airstream to the coast of Guangdong.
The easterly airstream is expected to intensify later in the day.
The Observatory forecasts that the local area will be mostly cloudy today with sunny days and a maximum temperature of about 19 degrees.

The Transport Department said that due to a burst water pipe, a one-lane two-way traffic measure has been implemented at Tai Pak Tin Street near Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Mrs. Wu Ruoyu Memorial Secondary School.
In addition, the slow lane of Chatham Road South (towards Salisbury Road) near Hart Road has been closed due to urgent maintenance.
Motorists are only allowed to use the remaining lanes.
Due to a water pipe burst, the median and express lanes of Belcher Street near the intersection of Smithfield Road, and some lanes of Smithfield Road near the intersection of Belcher's Street are still closed, and motorists can only use the remaining lanes.
The affected bus routes will have to be diverted.
