A demonstration against the cost of living is expected to take place tonight (Wednesday) in Habima Square in Tel Aviv.
This is against the background of the publication of the Consumer Price Index, which shows that a rise of more than 11% has occurred in many industries in the economy in the past year.
The demonstration is led by the journalist presented by "The Pipe" on Network 13, Guy Lerer.
"The point here is neither pasta nor the cancellation of price increases," Lerer wrote on Twitter.
"The thing is to create a new civic unity - and more importantly: deterrence. To this day they have done what they want because they knew we were dozing off. The pasta revolt has proven there is another option. From now on, any huge monopoly that wants to raise prices will think twice."
As part of the protest, food packages will be distributed to the demonstrators at a discounted price, and a "protest party" will be held later.
According to the index, house prices completed an increase of 11.3% per year.
At the same time, fruits and vegetables rose by 2.1% and food by 1.3%.
Furniture prices rose by 0.7% and transportation prices by half a percent.

The monthly consumer price index reflects the changes in the cost of living.
In Israel, in recent years the price level has been high in relation to OECD countries, with a recent rise in prices with the announcement of marketing chains' price increases.
Recent events have created a public outcry that has led ministers to promote a plan aimed at easing the cost of living.
One week ago, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman announced the measures that will be implemented under the program, including reducing taxes for working families, lowering tariffs on a variety of consumer products, lowering the price of electricity and reducing food taxes.
The plan has been criticized for claiming that its principles are good for parts of the public, while other parts of the nation will not be affected at all by the steps taken, but will be affected by the cost of living that no one will miss.
