Five people were killed and others injured in armed attacks on the outskirts of the Somali capital Mogadishu today.
"The attacks carried out by the Somali extremist movement Al-Shabab targeted police stations and checkpoints, killing five people and wounding 16 others on the outskirts of the Somali capital," the Associated Press quoted the Somali police as saying in a statement.
For years, Somalia has been witnessing suicide terrorist attacks and attacks carried out by the extremist Somali Al-Shabab movement, which is linked to Al-Qaeda terrorist organization, which resulted in hundreds of victims.
