The family of the cinematographer killed in October filed a complaint on Tuesday against the American actor whose "dangerous behavior" would be partly responsible for the tragedy. His lawyers gave their version of the facts on video.

Put pictures on an accident or crime scene to illustrate a vision of events.

The approach was used Tuesday by lawyers for the family of Halyna Hutchins, the director of photography killed in October during a filming accident.

Broadcast in support of the complaint filed in the State of New Mexico against the American actor and producer Alec Baldwin, the video intends to present the drama as it would have taken place, according to the version of the complainants.

Produced by an American company specializing in digital visuals, the fifty-second clip shows Alec Baldwin, in the costume of his western character, pointing his revolver in the direction of Halyna Hutchins and pulling the trigger without warning.

The gunshot erupts and the silhouette of the filmmaker collapses.

The chilling animation allows, according to the family of the victim, to illustrate the

“dangerous behavior”

of the actor, at the heart of the complaint filed on Tuesday.

"Mr. Baldwin is the person holding the gun, so if he hadn't fired she wouldn't have died

," Halyna Hutchins' family lawyer recalled at a press conference.

A responsibility in question

The prosecution, which hopes to force the Hollywood star to pay significant compensation to the victim's entourage, must still prove that the actor is partly responsible for the accident which cost the life, on October 21, of the 42 year old woman.

Alec Baldwin is notably accused of having refused training in the weapon he was going to handle during filming and of having himself pressed the trigger.

In all, the production of the film – of which the actor was a part – would have ignored by less than fifteen safety criteria, believe the lawyers of the relatives of Halyna Hutchins.

Since the fall, Alec Baldwin has denied any responsibility in the accident and denies having ever pointed his revolver in the direction of the victim.

The shot, meanwhile, would have gone off on its own.

“I did not pull the trigger

, he defended himself in December in an interview with the American channel ABC.

I would never have pointed a gun at someone and pulled the trigger.

Never.

The complaint filed Tuesday is the fourth legal proceeding in progress around the case of the fatal shooting which interrupted the filming of the feature film

last October.

In addition to Halyna Hutchins' death, the crash also injured the film's director, Joel Souza.

No arrest has so far been made as part of the various investigations, even if the American justice had requested the seizure of the actor's phone.

A requirement that Alec Baldwin complied with last month.
