The film festival in Berlin honors the French director Claire Denis.

She received the Silver Bear for Best Director on Wednesday evening.

She was awarded for her film "Avec amour et acharnement" with Juliette Binoche and Vincent Lindon.

It's about a woman whose life is thrown into disarray when an ex-partner resurfaces.
