The federal and state governments have agreed to gradually relax many corona rules.
This also applies to Hesse.
Wiesbaden – Hesse’s Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (CDU) has announced far-reaching relaxation of the corona rules.
This initially affects private meetings for those who have recovered and those who have been vaccinated, and from March 4th also the catering trade and major events, he said on Wednesday in Wiesbaden after the federal and state consultations.
There is a general expectation that the omicron wave has peaked and is declining, Bouffier explained.
As a first step, there should no longer be any restrictions on vaccinated and recovered people at private gatherings, he said.
These new requirements will apply as soon as the corresponding regulation comes into force in Hesse.
Bouffier announced a meeting of the Corona cabinet for next Monday.
For those who have not been vaccinated, the previous restrictions continue to apply to private meetings.
The federal and state governments decided that the 2G access restrictions and shopping controls introduced during the Corona crisis should end nationwide.
The Hessian state government had already lifted this rule.
2G means that only those who have been vaccinated or have recovered have access.
In a further step, from March 4th, access to the catering and hotel industry should not only be made possible for those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered, but also for people with a negative test (3G).
For major national events - including sports - the following should apply: indoors, an occupancy of up to 60 percent of the maximum capacity, a maximum of 6000 spectators;
in the outdoor area up to 75 percent of the maximum capacity, a maximum of 25,000 spectators.

According to Bouffier, discotheques and clubs should be allowed to open again on March 4th - the 2G plus rule applies.
This means that people without a booster vaccination must also have a daily negative corona test.
