In a document sent Monday, February 14 to all health professionals by the Directorate General of Health, the health authorities announced a simplified procedure for holders of a false vaccination pass who would like to start a vaccination course.

These "
repentants
", as Olivier Véran had qualified them in December, will now be able to go directly to a vaccination center to regularize their situation without risk of prosecution.
The document indeed indicates that “
the person in charge of the center or the administrative person in charge [...] does not have to inform the forces of order
”.
Another important change: until now, the "repentant" had to appear within 30 days from the promulgation of the law "
strengthening the tools for managing the health crisis
" on January 22 or from the observation of an offense related to forgery.
This deadline is no longer to be respected.
A holder of a false pass has the possibility of going to a vaccination center to ask the person in charge for a “
procedure for canceling the fraudulent vaccination cycle
”.
Fake pass traffic
The French who use fake health passes are still numerous in France.
The Ministry of the Interior counted 192,000 fraudulent documents of this kind on December 30.
A document published on Monday by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, a British think tank, underlined the continuing scale of proposals for the trafficking of fake passes on social networks.
“
Analysts have encountered numerous access points to fake passes on Facebook, Instagram and Telegram
,” the document notes.
Despite the illegality, real networks had begun to be structured in the summer of 2021 after the introduction in France of the health pass.
For sums ranging from 75 to 600 euros, accounts, most often called "
sanitary pass
" or "
vaccination passport
" had begun to abound on social networks offering QR codes to be registered on the TousAnticovid application or false certificates of vaccination directly registered on the Ameli account.

The vaccine pass could in any case be lifted “at the
end of March, beginning of April
”, according to the latest government announcements at the beginning of February.
Government spokesman Gabriel Attal insisted in particular on the fact that the end of the pass would be conditional on "
a normalization of the situation in the hospital
" which is still "
under very high tension due to the Covid
".
