Two hurricane lows hit Germany in the coming days.

From Thursday night, the German Weather Service expects severe storm and hurricane gusts of up to 120 km/h.

Hurricane low "Ylenia" hits on Thursday night.

The next storm is already announced on Friday (February 18) in the night to Saturday.

The federal and state civil protection authorities also warn of the dangers of uprooted trees, falling roof tiles and objects flying around.

People should avoid being outdoors as much as possible.

A warning is given in particular before entering forests and parks.

“I believe that this series of storms could match the damage caused by 'Kyrill' in 2007 in northern, eastern and western Germany.

A storm stronger than it has been for 10/15 years," says climatologist Dr.
