Several rallies are organized this week in the department to demand more resources for the school year which will begin in

After having organized rallies in Pantin and Saint-Denis during the first two weekends of February, the parents' federation FCPE 93 is calling on families to mobilize this week, before the school holidays which begin on Saturday, to demand additional educational resources for the 2022-2023 school year.

If during a press conference at the end of January, the rector of the Créteil academy Daniel Auverlot had affirmed that the global hourly allocation (DHG) ― the envelope of course hours allocated by the rectorate to a secondary school ― would be on the rise at the academic level next year despite the drop in the number of students, on the ground, the parents of middle school and high school students are worried about the return to school in September.

“With the drop in our DHG, five classes will close, deplores Hanaine Ben Hadj, representative of the FCPE at the Jean-Rostand high school in Villepinte, who participated in a mobilization Tuesday morning in front of the establishment.

As a result, numbers will increase.

In some classes, we will go from an average of 27 students to more than 30. It is unmanageable when we see in addition the last two years of lessons that high school students have undergone with the Covid-19.

"There is an average increase of one pupil per class compared to five years ago"

“The drop in the DHG will have an impact on a whole host of activities in our college, also fears Houda Mimouni, elected FCPE at the Jacques-Prévert college in Noisy-le-Sec, where a mobilization was also organized on Tuesday morning.

We are going to lose a 6th grade class when we are planning more students.

At the Henri-Wallon school complex in Aubervilliers, parents are also worried.

“We already have serious problems of non-replacements, underlines Saloua Hakkou, parent of a pupil elected on an independent list who will participate in a blockade this Friday.

There has been a lack of a history-geography teacher and another of English since the beginning of October.

It will be four months and the rectorate does nothing to replace them.

It could be even worse next year.

"What we note is that there is an average increase of one student per class compared to five years ago," said Alixe Rivière, co-president of FCPE 93. Teachers are also mobilized since several establishments filed strike notices this week to protest against the resources that will be allocated to them next year.
