The new Langenpreisinger recycling center is to be built soon.

However, it is only part of a large overall package of village renewal, only through which grants beckon.

Langenpreising – A few days ago, Langenpreising's mayor Josef Straßer commissioned the construction work for the new recycling center.

It should then be ready in July, as the tender also stipulates.

It is part of an overall package that offers grants.

Straßer does not want to make the figures public when asked, but he does say that the award amount has remained within the budget.

As soon as the new recycling center is in operation, the days of the already dilapidated old forge in the middle of the town where the containers are currently located could be numbered.

The mayor no longer speaks of receipt.

And if the whole area is touched, according to him, the dilapidated footbridges in the immediate vicinity, namely behind the old smithy and at the former Baderwirt, could finally be tackled.

Straßer sees this as an overall package as part of the village renewal and says that the municipality is still waiting for offers as far as a possible replacement of the footbridges is concerned.

It is about modern constructions made of aluminum.

The decision whether to renovate or build has yet to be made.

Road construction expert and third mayor Natalie Kienmüller-Stadler pointed out the need for action months ago, especially in the safety-relevant area of the railings.

Now, with the overall package, it is finally possible to specifically address the age-old issue of the bridges, says Straßer.

Some of them look "rough", he thinks.

The combination of the town center and Stegen in the package also has subsidy-related reasons: then money beckons from the Free State of Bavaria as part of the village renewal.

Another renovation project must be seen separately from this: the "Rialto Bridge" over the Strogen Canal, as it is often called because of its arched construction, is being given a new surface.

Due to various cracks, Straßer wants to act quickly to prevent the building damage from getting worse, which should then also cause the costs to rise.
