He thought he was flying quietly towards Romania, his native country, when the police grabbed hold of him.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on Friday February 11 at Beauvais airport (Oise).
He was wanted by the police after a violent robbery committed on December 3, in a pavilion on rue Georges-Ohnet, in Pontault-Combault (Seine-et-Marne).
He had seriously injured the owner of the house.
Brought back to Seine-et-Marne by police officers from the Noisiel-Pontault police station, he was taken into custody.
Brought to the Melun prosecutor's office on Saturday, he was imprisoned on Monday pending his trial, which will take place later.
This Friday, December 3, 2021, when the resident of Pontault-Combault comes across the burglar at his home, things escalate quickly.
The thief hits him three times with a screwdriver, on the head and neck.
He then flees with jewelry.
Despite the seriousness of the gesture of her attacker, the 36-year-old victim, by chance, got away with only five days of total work interruption.
Once there, the police do their research work and discover, near the home, the screwdriver in question.
Spotted by giving his identity at the airport
The weapon is “exploited” by the officials of the scientific police, who discover DNA on it.
They manage to draw up a genetic profile, which “matches” in their files.
His photo is then presented to the victim among others on photographic boards.
The author of the theft with violence is then formally identified.
This allows law enforcement to issue a search warrant.
This mandate does not give anything, therefore, until February 11 and the attempt of this Romanian to return to his country, forced to decline his identity at the airport.
In police custody, the man admitted the charges against him.
Before the investigators, he justified the blows with the screwdriver by the use of narcotics.
He will therefore have to report to the Criminal Court of Melun.
His loot, however, was not found by the police.
