The current move by MK Katz, who in fact put to the vote a bill that renews and establishes a temporary provision previously promoted by Ayelet Shaked, which stipulates that a person convicted of throwing stones, a Molotov cocktail or any other object at a vehicle or transportation lane, will be given a minimum penalty of one-fifth of the maximum penalty. Ten or twenty years.

According to a study requested by MK Katz from the Knesset's Research and Information Center, currently, only 1% of the cases that are opened end up in prison, of which 93% sit for a year or less.
