A teacher who allegedly associates vaccination with going to heaven, permanently open windows, even in cold temperatures, controversial archiving of test results.: The allegations made by some parents of children at the elementary and middle school in Oberau , weigh heavily.

They complain that corona management is too strict.

The headmaster denies it.

Oberau – Of course you are not always there live.

But what they hear from their children after school, they take seriously, and that's enough for them to protest vigorously.

After all, they fear that their daughters and sons could be permanently mentally impaired.

Three pairs of parents have contacted the daily newspaper.

Her children go to the first, fourth and sixth grades at the elementary and middle school in Oberau.

For example, the mother of an 11-year-old (all names are known to the editors) says that the children in her son's class were told by a teacher that they would not go to heaven without vaccination.

They claim that there was also a connection to the ecclesiastical sale of indulgences in the Middle Ages.

In general, this woman is only about Corona, Corona,

Corona, complains another mother.

Some of the children no longer want to go to class.

Despite all the severity of the allegations, the parents even show understanding for the teacher, “she is terrified of Corona”.

But it goes too far for them to intimidate and traumatize their children in such a way and possibly permanently.

Headmaster Markus Schneider said when asked by the daily newspaper that he knew nothing about this incident.

"That didn't get through to me, there's nothing in writing on the table." The teacher who is said to have said this sentence could not be reached for a statement.

The Ministry of Education, which was interviewed by the Tagblatt, recommends a personal conversation between the parents and the person in question to de-escalate the situation.

The parents' other allegations are: The children are already being sent to wash their hands if they take off their masks just once to scratch their noses.

In addition, permitted, external tests from the so-called "Test-Express" (the result is confirmed online by doctors) and other certified test centers would be questioned, the school management would contact these centers to investigate whether the information was correct.

In addition, the test certificates were archived at the school for weeks in the past and were only returned after vigorous intervention.

The immediate return is now working.

The Ministry of Education confirms that the documentation on the test results can be kept for a maximum of two weeks, but not the original certificates.

Now for airing: the windows – at least in one classroom – were kept open throughout the entire lesson, although it was sometimes very cold outside.

"And the children still had to leave their masks on," the mother complains.

At other schools, she has heard, the rooms are properly aired out after every lesson.

"I then gave my son a down jacket, woolen blanket and gloves," says the eleven-year-old's mother.

When it got too much for her, she also gave him a thermometer to check the temperatures.

The teachers noticed this.

"It was only from then on that it got better." In addition, in her eyes, her son was once wrongly sent home because of a mask violation.

And last but not least, the parents complain

"Our corona management is based on the rules specified by the Ministry of Education," says headmaster Schneider.

On the subject of removing masks: "The students are allowed to remove the masks during the snack and during the ventilation breaks," Schneider continues.

"If they briefly remove the masks at another time, then it will be pointed out that they must put them back on.

But no child is expelled from class or sent out for that reason.” How much and how long the school classrooms are ventilated is at the discretion of the respective teacher.

“We have had CO2 meters in the rooms since last year.

If the limit is exceeded, we ventilate.

We also now have air filters.

These two devices plus regular airing lead to

that the neighbors of a child who tests positive no longer have to be automatically quarantined.

We have never had any complaints about this this school year, not even from the parents’ association.”

On the subject of external tests: “If either the date or the time or the check mark is missing from the result, if only the doctor’s signature can be seen on it, then I call the doctor in question or the test center and let them know Health Department further," explains the headmaster.

“So far this school year there have been four rapid tests that have been the subject of complaints.

Of course, it seems strange to the class teachers when tests were issued by a cosmetic surgeon in Nuremberg on a Sunday evening.

Otherwise we look at the tests, document the results and give back the certificate.” Pupils are only sent home if they don’t bring valid proof with them.

Schneider also denies that he gave the parents no opportunity to contact them.

“There was not a single request for a personal interview.

Letters from parents with such allegations will be forwarded directly to the school authority.”
