Occupied Jerusalem-SANA
A Palestinian was injured this evening when Israeli settlers attacked him in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem.
Ma'an Agency stated that settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, stormed the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and attacked the Palestinians by firing bullets and poison gas canisters, injuring an elderly man in the head.
In addition, the occupation forces imposed a strict closure on the entrances to the neighborhood and prevented the solidarity activists and paramedics from entering it to provide treatment for the injured.
Dozens of Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood face the threat of ethnic cleansing and forced displacement from their homes to implement settlement plans, as settlers continue their attacks on the neighborhood at a time when the occupation forces tighten their arbitrary measures against its residents in an attempt to displace them.
