Samuel Gauthier, Secretary General of CGT Penitentiary, one of the three unions (with the inter-union UFAP UNSa Justice and the Prison Wardens' Union) engaged.

This mobilization is however not the most important due in particular to school holidays, the health crisis or even the disciplinary sanctions which weigh on the supervisors.

Prison guards theoretically do not have the right to strike, in the same way as police officers, for example.

Blockages, walkouts and meetings are scheduled for Thursday to demand a salary increase and more generally "

recognition of the profession of supervisor

", says Samuel Gauthier.

Current blockages prevent extractions, and the coming and going of families, caregivers or educational staff.

The unions must discuss a possible renewal of these blockages tomorrow.
