In January, Israeli security sources told AFP that the recent capture of a Hezbollah drone by Israel gave the military access for the first time to data showing how the Lebanese movement operated these flying machines.

The Israeli army has an air command center bringing together around twenty officers near the border with Lebanon in order to monitor in particular the drones of Hezbollah, a Lebanese movement close to Iran, the first enemy of the Jewish state.
In 2006, the last major confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah left more than 1,200 dead on the Lebanese side, mostly civilians, and 160 on the Israeli side, mostly soldiers.
