The Secretary for the Civil Service, Nip Tak-kuen, said that children and the elderly are the key targets of protection. Therefore, the government has added this vaccination center for children, young people and the elderly to facilitate them to get vaccinated as soon as possible and reduce the risk of severe illness or death if they contract the virus.

He also urged parents or guardians of children, as well as families of elders, to act immediately and make appointments for children and elders as soon as possible.

The Hong Kong Central Library Community Vaccination Centre in Causeway Bay is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm every day, with cleaning hours from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. The vaccination centre will be temporarily closed.

In addition to community vaccination centres, general outpatient clinics designated by the Hospital Authority, private doctors and clinics participating in vaccination programmes, public hospital COVID-19 vaccination stations and COVID-19 mobile vaccination stations, the elderly can be vaccinated against COVID-19.

They can also choose to go to the 15 elderly health centres of the Department of Health to receive the Sinovac vaccine on the spot without making an appointment.

In addition, the minimum age for children to receive the Sinovac vaccine is 3 years old, and the minimum age for the Fubitai vaccine is 5 years old.

Parents or guardians can make appointments for children and adolescents at the Community Vaccination Centre, the 5 Student Health Service Centres of the Department of Health, or the Hospital Authority through the thematic website of the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme http://www.covidvaccine.gov.hk (Hospital Authority) Designated general outpatient clinics for vaccination of Sinovac vaccines.

If parents choose to vaccinate their children with Fubiquit, they must be vaccinated at 3 children's community vaccination centres, including the Children's Community Vaccination Centre of Hong Kong Children's Hospital and Yuen Chau Kok Sports Centre, and the Children's Community Vaccination Centre of the University of Hong Kong in Gleneagles Hong Kong center.

Children who are vaccinated must bring along their original identification documents and a signed parental consent form for vaccination on the same day.

Children aged 3 to 11 must be vaccinated by an adult relative, domestic helper or school teacher.
