British health officials today called on Prime Minister Boris Johnson to wait and not rush to lift all restrictions to combat the Corona pandemic.
Reuters quoted the head of the Public Health Authority Organizations in Britain, Matthew Taylor, as saying that “many still oppose the Public Health Authority’s plans to recover if the government rushes to implement its plans to exit the pandemic,” stressing the need to be careful and rely on an evidence-based approach.
Johnson had canceled all Corona restrictions on the 19th of last month, and he is expected to announce next Monday his plans to expand the circle, which indicates that he wants to move to end obligating people to self-isolate when they are confirmed to be infected with the Corona virus.
Britain began implementing the legal obligation to self-isolate in September 2020, after easing the first general isolation measures to combat the pandemic, while the country has recorded 18 million, 499,058 injuries and 160,221 deaths so far, since the beginning of the pandemic.
