Hopefully we can finally dance again in summer.

The Komod Festival is scheduled for July.

After two years of a forced break due to corona, there will be another Komod festival in Weilheim this summer.

Advance sales start on Sunday evening, February 20 at 7 p.m

Weilheim

– For the Weilheim Komod Festival from Thursday, July 14th to Sunday, July 17th, tickets can be purchased from this Sunday via a link on Facebook, Instagram or the festival's homepage.

"We recommend striking as soon as possible," says main organizer Christian Botsch.

"Since we don't know what will be possible, we have planned with a smaller contingent for the time being." 1000 tickets per day of the event are currently planned, depending on the development, the number can also be increased.

Komod Festival: Colorful program planned again

The program is not yet fully detailed, but will be announced on the festival website bit by bit.

Numerous workshops are planned, such as yoga or pottery courses, as well as lectures.

And of course a lot of music.

In order to encourage people to dance and celebrate, both live music and DJ sounds will be heard from the four stages.

On Sunday there is another family and culture day, where the youngest should get their money's worth.

A climbing wall will be set up for the children, and painting courses and soap plan activities or a magician are also planned.

Food trucks spoil the festival visitors with culinary delights with a vegetarian offer.

There will also be market stalls with handicrafts again.

Komod Festival: A Community Project

"We're looking forward to it and we're all very excited," says Botsch.

Five years ago he had the idea for the festival near the Naturfreudehaus on the Ammer.

Up to 300 volunteers are involved in the run-up to and during the festival.

"It's an absolute community project," says the 34-year-old.

According to him, the "Free Mind SoundSystem" group, which takes care of the entire technical structure, has a large part to play.

The festival last took place in 2019.

In 2020 it had to be canceled due to the pandemic.

In 2021, Botsch and his team hadn't even planned it.
